Wellness Coaching
It's true that money can't buy health. When our natural vitality is lost, our lives can quickly spiral down in a cascade of degeneration. And once we're experiencing symptoms, it can be difficult to know what to do to feel better. When we don't feel well, it's all too easy to get depressed. Once we're depressed, even if we know what we SHOULD do, it can be almost impossible to muster the motivation to do it consistently.

Hey, I've been there. I know what it's like to feel crummy and have an overworked medical doctor simply brush me off like so much dark lint on his/her white coat.

Wellness is about how you feel all day — everyday. How effectively do you cope with stress? Is our increasingly toxic environment wearing you down? Do you succumb to every viral exposure that comes your way? Can you easily navigate the many daily challenges of your life?

If you vent anger at every real or imagined slight or trespass — you are not living well. Instead, bad effects of stress are in charge. Sooner or later, your depleted adrenal glands will contribute to impaired immune function

Healing — or avoiding — the ravages of chronic illness and dysfunction by improving how you take care of yourself through your lifestyle and food choices is the goal of wellness coaching.

Whether you need advice on overcoming food cravings, finding the best supplement for your situation or want someone to help you stay on track to return to your naturally vital state — Nutrition Matters! Wellness Coaching can provide you with information and support.

The Disclaimer Paragraph
Remember, I am not a medical doctor. That means I don't practice medicine. So, don't expect me to diagnose or treat your illness.

Huh?

Knowledge is of two kinds. We know a subject ourselves, or we know where we can find information on it.
~ Samuel Johnson
(1709-1784) from Boswell's Life of Johnson

Are you puzzled by seeing these disclaimers everywhere when all you want is someone to tell you how you can return to wellness and vitality?

Think about it this way. Asthma is a disease treated in specific ways by your doctor. If you tell me you have asthma, my job is to help you explore ways to improve the function of your respiratory system and suggest ideas for strengthening the health of your lungs. We probably won't "cure" your asthma, but you may find that you suffer attacks less frequently.

If you tell me you have cancer, I can't treat you for it. And I certainly can't "cure" your cancer. I can share with you what I have learned about this extreme condition and the biological patterns common to many cancers. I can also suggest complementary protocols that may help your body recover more rapidly from the side effects of radiation and chemotherapy or the trauma of surgery.

Coaching is a process. We both make an investment with our shared goal to produce positive results in your life.

Staying motivated while changing our life patterns is always challenging. "Most" people find reasons not to follow through on the advice given. Then they wonder why "nothing" works to improve their health.

Western "heroic" medicine has taught us to believe if we ingest the right chemical we will miraculously experience a reversal of all our discomforts. Alternatively, if we cut away the offending tissue, what's remains will enjoy perfect health.

Fact: When decades of bodily abuse result in system-wide dysfunction or imbalance, it's not likely that a magic pill will restore us to health overnight. And that's true whether the pill is a pharmaceutical chemical or a traditional herbal formula.

Deep healing takes time. Recovery takes focus and commitment.

Symptom suppression may take less time. Controlling symptoms that erode our quality of life is one objective common to all healing practices. But do yourself a favor and pay attention to whether the treatment used merely suppresses one symptom while creating additional problems (side-effects).

Wellness Coaching is available to clients around the world through the magic of email.

Coaching packages include a thorough intake process (Personal Health Record) where you provide many details about your circumstances, health history, specific complaints, health goals, lifestyle and diet.

Since each person is unique, it may take some time to find the combination of approaches that will make the difference for you.

Protocols
Not everyone can take advantage of a personal coaching relationship. If you're motivated, a little direction may provide just the help you need to heal yourself. Basic Protocols are developed for a variety of conditions and disease states. Each protocol includes food, supplement and lifestyle suggestions for rebalancing your body. These are general guidelines, not customized for you.

Working to change our lifestyle behaviors can be confusing and frustrating. To maximize your success with the Basic Protocols, keep your own Wellness Diary. This helps you track and identify responses you have to changes in your routine, whether positive or negative. And over time, that helps minimize confusion and assists you in figuring out an appropriate next step in your healing journey.
