"We are what we repeatedly
do. Excellence, then, is not an act, but a habit."

Who is Fern Leaf?
Fern Leaf, NC, MPH, Board Certified in Holistic Nutrition
I understand how our lifestyle choices and
past experiences affect our wellness in the present. For 30 years,
using compassionate listening skills, I have been helping myself
and others find a path to wellness using whole foods, herbal therapy,
and nutritional supplements to rebalance body systems and restore
organ function.
Fern Leaf ~ Wellness Coach
My exploration of nutrition was initially sparked
by a need for deep healing after physical abuse that began
when I was a toddler and a series of accidents and falls that continued
into my 50's. I have successfully met many health challenges
including Multiple Chemical Sensitivity, chronic migraine headaches and
an autoimmune inflammatory condition (Undifferentiated Connective
Tissue Disorder) that rendered me totally disabled in 2002 and 2003. Today I appreciate my history for the gifts of understanding and healing my path has brought.
My formal training includes more than 750 hours
of research and study to obtain practical tools for assessing my clients'
unique physical status. I received certification as both a Nutrition
Educator and Nutrition Consultant from Bauman College of Holistic
Nutrition and Culinary Arts. In 2007, I completed my studies at UC Berkeley's School of Public Health to earn a MPH-Nutrition degree with a specialty focus on Aging and Public Health.
As a Wellness Coach, I offer education and
counsel gleaned from substantial experience navigating both mainstream
and complementary healthcare options.
While humans are under siege in today's
toxic environment, we also live in a time of emerging insight that
informs functional medicine and promises improved results for those
who seek integrated healthcare treatment. I am prepared to work
with individuals, therapists and other health care professionals
to assist on your integrative journey to renewed vitality.
